Engineering Quality Inspector

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Eldon Tool and Engineering Ltd have an opportunity for a full time Engineering Quality Inspector (but also open to part time position, if preferable) If you have ‘hands on ‘engineering experience in a production or a toolmaking environment, we would be interested to hear from you. The role is to maintain quality checks throughout the factory, we require a level-headed approach to quality. The role will involve working alongside design and manufacturing to understand ‘fit for purpose’.

Location: Sheffield – Don Valley area

Salary: Starting at £24,000.00 Per Annum

Hours of work: 37 per week (open to part time), Monday–Friday 1pm finish on Friday’s.

The Role:

· Performing goods in and production 1stoff and subsequent inspection by using CMM, callipers, micrometres etc.

· Program the CMM and build database (not essential)

· Calibrate the measuring equipment and arrange calibration with suppliers.

· Assisting with the creation of NCR’s and problem-solving reports, inc root cause.

· Liaising with customers/suppliers regarding the NCR’s and supporting solutions.

· Working towards ISO9001. (inc internal and external audits)

· Liaising with customers regarding the NCR’s and supporting solutions.

· Creating SOP’s.

· Work order document preparation.

· Working with the teams to keep quality standards.

· Create and update quality plans.

· Manage CMM data capture of new/existing products (not essential)

Required Skills

· Qualification in Engineering.

· One to two years’ experience in machining.

· CMM operation (not essential)

· ISO 9001 exposure (not essential)
