Role Overview & Responsibilities

Ellis Engineering Recruitment are recruiting for a CNC Turner to work for an established, highly successful family ran business based in Birmingham.

This successful business has won multiple awards and they are continually expanding. They currently service the Automotive, F1, Aerospace and Marine sectors. They have developed their company significantly and extensively over a 50 year period and they are now a multimillion turnover business.

For this role you will be working with mainly Hurco and Mazak machines and ideally have experience working with Stainless Steel, iconel, Nickel and Aluminium.

Ideally you will have a minimum of three years experience working as a Turner and be familiar with the CNC lathe and be fully competent within your current role.

Location :Birmingham

Salary : DOE - up to £15 phr

Hours : 40 - 7.30 -4pm. Monday to Friday, overtime available during the week and at weekends

Role requirements:

· Be conversant with reading and interpreting engineering drawings

· Have significant experience as a Turner with Hurco and Mazak machines

· Be accountable for own quality checking

· Be able to work to tight tolerances with minimum waste

· Be a team player and be helpful and supportive to other engineers

· Ideally be experienced with working with exotic metals such as Stainless steel, Iconel, Nickel and Aluminium

· Must be fully conversant with measuring equipment and be able to demonstrate accuracy
