Role Overview & Responsibilities

You will be working as part of team to delivery excellent IT support to both office and home based employees.

Overall purpose;

  • To execute IT strategy as defined by IT Director to achieve company objective
  • To ensure the business is resilient, secure and up to date

Key responsibilities:

  • Achieve individual, team and Company Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Execution of IT infrastructure strategy

  • The design, implementation of and management of IT infrastructure, including (but not limited to) laptops, desktops, thin client devices, routers and switches, firewalls, servers and cloud technologies
  • Ensure that business infrastructure is up to date, documented and regularly reviewed to establish if it is the best solution
  • Where applicable, provide justification for decisions made and ensure that they are in line with company requirements

Provide support to the business, including IT staff and end-users

  • Ensure that the IT department maintains a positive image within the business and ensure that staff feel confident in the service being provided
  • Support the IT Director by thoroughly researching and advising on any key changes, as well as providing support in making decisions on how to drive the business forward
  • To ensure all company values are upheld by IT staff
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers
  • To proactively monitor IT infrastructure and address any potential issues to avoid downtime
  • Define and uphold working standards with the IT department
  • Ensure the defined budget is adhered to and reduce stock expenditure where appropriate
  • Proactively encourage team cohesiveness, knowledge sharing and natural growth
  • Management of company assets and configuration
  • Ensure strong security protocols are adhered to within the business
  • Implement IT training on systems as required
  • Carry out any other duties, within reason, as defined by the IT Director
