This role works within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and architects, partnering with business teams to deliver secure, scalable identity solutions.Success in this role is centered on translating business requirements into technical designs and implementing resilient authentication solutions with minimal disruption. The role also extends to modern identity challenges, including non-human identities (NHIs), AI/agent authentication, and automation-driven identity architectures.The Role will:Design, implement, and support SSO, federation, and MFA solutions using Ping suite of productsServe as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Ping Identity capabilities and IAM domainsDrive adoption of authentication and authorization reference architectures for modern and emerging technologiesDevelop scalable solutions aligned with Zero Trust principles and enterprise IAM standardsIntegrate applications (legacy and modern) into SSO, ensuring secure onboarding and adherence to IAM best practicesTroubleshoot complex authentication, federation, and identity-related issues across systemsImplement and support machine-to-machine authentication (OAuth2 client credentials, API security)Contribute to automation-first identity workflows leveraging APIs and event-driven integrationsSupport identity architecture evolution, including AI agents and non-human identity governanceKnowledge / Skills / Abilities:Strong hands-on experience implementing and supporting Ping (PingFederate, PingID, PingProtect, PingVerify, Davinci, Authorize)Deep understanding of SSO, federation, MFA, and directory servicesExperience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM and token-based authenticationExperience with PingOne DaVinci to design and build identity orchestration workflows that simplify and streamline user experiencesFamiliarity with AI gateway concepts, centralized enforcement of authentication, authorization, rate limiting, and policy controls for LLM and agent trafficAbility to design and enforce scoped, least-privilege authorization for MCP servers, ensuring agents operate within defined permission boundariesExperience with API security and integration patterns (REST, JSON, Postman)Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset and attention to detailExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsSelf-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple prioritiesModern Identity / AI Skills: Experience managing non-human identities (service accounts, APIs, bots, AI agents)Understanding of AI/ML use cases in identity security (risk-based authentication, anomaly detection)Familiarity with identity patterns for AI agents and application-to-application authenticationKnowledge of Zero Trust and Just-in-Time (JIT) access modelsAwareness of AI security risks (e.g., token misuse, data exposure, agent over-privilege)Required Qualifications:8+ years of experience architecting and implementing IAM solutions, with strong expertise in Ping stack (preferred)In-depth experience with IAM protocols: SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIMStrong experience with SSO, Federation, authentication, and authorization architecturesExperience with other IAM platforms (e.g., Okta, SailPoint) is a plusBroad knowledge of enterprise IT across cloud, network, systems, and identity infrastructureSecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP) are a plusThe targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 136,000 - 204,000 USD / AnnualOur pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs.
