CAD Technician

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Our client is the leading UK designer and manufacturer of structural building components for the construction sector - they are going through a period of growth and to fuel this they are looking for a Technician to join their team to produce high quality technical reviews and approve drawings to facilitate delivery.

Main Tasks of Job:

· Review and quickly digest technical information provided to fully understand task and identify any missing/conflicting information.

· Carry out Technical Reviews on new prospective projects to provide an accurate and cost optimised technical solution.

· Generate customer Approval Drawing in CAD based on customer information and to the clients best practise in line with / ahead of hours budget.

· Perform technical calculations to produce a suitable solution in a safe and time efficient manner.

· Self-check of own work to ensure high quality output.

· Ensure assigned projects are technically owned and efficiently delivered with excellent communication and customer service.

· Quickly respond to technical queries from the customer as recognized industry experts.

About you:

- You will have experience within the construction sector and have an understanding of steel fabrications if possible although not essential.

- Experience of 2D CAD (preferably AutoCAD).

- Competent with Microsoft Office

- Positive attitude & a great team player

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £25,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Leeds: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
