Warehouse and Logistics Manager

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse and Logistics Managers to look after our day to day operation. This a full time permanent position and working for very well established frozen food distribution company.

Job Role include:

• liaises with production, maintenance, sales and other departments to determine the materials and other items required for current and future production schedules and sales commitments;
• reviews, develops and implements stock control, handling and distribution policies to maximise use of space, money, labour and other resources;
• advises purchasing department on type, quality and quantity of goods required and dates by which they must be available;
• prepares reports on expenditure and advises on materials and parts standardisation, future stores and stock control policies;
• decides on storage conditions for particular items, allocates warehouse space and arranges for regular stock inspections to detect deterioration or damage.

Entry requirements of this job:

The successful candidate for Warehouse and Logistics Manager role will have the following skills and experiences:

• Be educated to Degree Level standard - Advantageous.
• Have experience of Sage line 50 will be Advantageous.
• A competent user of Microsoft packages including Excel is Essential.
• Be results driven and commercially minded.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Be commutable to Luton.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £22,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
