Role Overview & Responsibilities

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Basic Salary: £17.05

Hours: 4 on 4 off, 06:00 - 18:00

Location: Peterborough

You'll make sure that the best trucks are back on the road as fast as possible when they require maintenance. You'll use the most advanced workshop systems on trucks with state-of-the-art technology. If you enjoy taking on responsibility, then we'll give you the freedom to perform diagnostics and to decide how to carry out maintenance and repairs on trucks. You'll be part of a great team with friendly colleagues.

This is what you'll be doing:

• Undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation of the VMU.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance is completed as per company / manufactures requirements and standards.
• Correct fault diagnosis to ensure replacement parts are fitted correctly and warranty claims are in line with Company warranty terms.
• Undertake diagnostic analysis where appropriate.
• Complete job cards, service sheets, timesheets and any other relevant paperwork in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.

This is what we're looking for:

• Hold a City and Guilds level 3 in HGV Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Have experience on multiple manufactures of HGV equipment, specifically around Trailers and Units.
• Hold a clean Full UK driving licence.
• (Not a necessity but preferred) Hold an HGV 1 (C+E) Driving licence.
