The Role:


An analyst at Convex Capital is responsible for conducting in-depth market research and analysis to identify trade acquirers and investors across global markets. This includes gathering and analysing data on market trends, industry developments including historic acquisitions and divestments, and company performance to build buyer pools for Convex’s clients.


Key responsibilities:


  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify global acquirers and investors across all sectors
  • Construct briefing packs for clients prior to management meetings
  • Gather and analyse data on market trends, industry developments, and company performance
  • Collaborate with the Origination and Execution teams to develop origination strategies and recommendations, as well as sharing data for client marketing purposes.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to present findings and recommendations to the Origination and Execution teams
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and emerging trends to support informed decision-making across the business.


Key qualifications:


  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, data management or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of the M&A world
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization software, such as Excel and Tableau
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular PowerPoint and especially Excel)
