Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking Security Officers for a modern student accommodation in the Nottingham area on a full time and part time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will have a valid front line SIA licence, a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills and will maintain a safe and secure environment for our client by patrolling and monitoring the site.

Shift Pattern: Nights, Weekends and Bank Holidays. Bank holidays are double pay.

Pay rate: £10.42 per hour.

The Security Officer role would suit those with excellent interpersonal skills and who wish to develop skills in security, gatekeeping, and as a Security Officer. Must be able to commute to locations in city centre.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a safe and secure environment & ensure safe access to the building at all times.
  • Carrying out patrols/hazard reporting etc as requested.
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.
  • Completing all necessary reports in line with company documentation.
  • Access/ Egress control.
  • Monitoring of alarms & CCTV system.
  • Key Holding responsibilities.
  • Controlling and monitoring access to the carparks.
  • General refuse management & ensuring overall tidiness on site.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service.
  • Be polite, helpful, and diligent, with a ‘can do’ ethos.
  • Have a calm personality capable of controlling difficult situations.
  • General cleaning and upkeep of site.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Valid frontline SIA Licence.
  • Must be able to commute to locations in city centre.
  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Fully comprehensive 5-year work/education history.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliability.
