Fleet Mortgages is a major player in the specialist Buy to Let Mortgage market and a wholly owned subsidiary of Starling Bank. Due to rapid new business growth, we are looking for quality individuals to join our Completions Underwriting Team in Fleet, Hampshire.

Experience in the Buy to let Mortgage industry would be an advantage, but we have an excellent training structure so will welcome talented, decision-makers who have a desire to provide great service, an eye for detail and are willing and excited to learn.

The Completions Underwriter role

This is a varied role that also has highly technical elements making it both rewarding and challenging.

You will be responsible for liaising with conveyancers and brokers to progress mortgage applications from mortgage offer through to completion of the loan. In making your decision, you will be involved in reviewing legal documentation, responding to conveyancing title enquiries, assessing complex transactions and ensuring both the borrower and security meet Fleet’s criteria and are suitable for lending.

• The ability to write professional emails to conveyancers is essential.
• You must be comfortable with assessing legal enquiries and making decisions
• A team player who is good at communicating with people of all levels
• Understands the need to provide customer service excellence
• Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
