Role Overview & Responsibilities

TITLE: Cleaner – All Year Round

SCHOOL: Canon Johnson CE Primary School, Elgin Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL7 9DD

REPORTING TO: Headteacher

GRADE: SCP 3 £20,812 Per Annum Pro Rata

HOURS: 20 hours per week, all year round

PURPOSE OF POST:

Assist in the provision of a clean and safe working environment for the school.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To ensure that the site complies with all statutory health and safety requirements.
• To ensure the designated area is cleaned to a consistently high standard.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Some relevant experience
• Willingness to undertake COSHH and / or relevant Health and Safety training
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
