Job Description

  • To lead and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary project team or portfolio of projects to deliver project objectives in a structured and efficient manner and to schedule.

  • Provide clear and sustained leadership of project management activities for a diverse range of clients in the UK and overseas.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer and form effective working relationships with all stakeholders including the customer, project team members and supply chain partners.

  • Act as the focal point for the project review process to check progress, manage cost, identify deviations from the scope and plan. Detect risk and put mitigations in place and forecast future performance.

  • Provide continuous support and guidance to the team, promoting good practices and focusing on lessons learnt.

  • Embrace the GE lean transformation within the business and deploy this actively within the project management context.

  • Commercially aware with good understanding of project financials, risk management, contractual and legal interfaces with the ability to compile claim & lead claim negotiations with Customer / Suppliers

Established project management skills with a proven ability to plan, document, market and execute programs to schedule.

Enthusiastic, self-driven, determined, persuasive and thorough in approach and capable of working independently and in a team environment.

A skilled and flexible negotiator able to work through issues arising and find effective solutions.

Knowledge and Experience

Commercial or Technical degree & PM certification or equivalent experience is desirable.

Experience in an Engineering, Project Management and Procurement/Supplier environment is preferred.

Competence in the use of SAP is advantageous as are good computer skills, including MS Office and database tools.
