1st Line IT Support

Role Overview & Responsibilities

GAP Plastics have a great opportunity for a 1st Line IT Support Analyst to join our IT department to continue to give the best support to our employees across the group.

About the role:

As 1st Line support you will be the first point of contact via phone or email for all internal staff regarding any issues they maybe having with their desktops, laptops, IP phones, tills etc. We use a Helpdesk to log all issues which will give you a clear understanding on the tickets you have to work on. You will be responsible for qualifying and documenting all incidents logged providing 1st time fixes on known issues and troubleshooting issues without known fixes. We have a large number of depots up and down the country so remote support will be required.

The Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is an outgoing, forward thinking, people person. You should have good call handling skills, problem solving skills with understanding of basic networking with good communication skills both via phone and email.

Skills Required:

• Good understanding of Windows 7+
• Basic understanding of Networking fundamentals
• Ability to do basic trouble shooting

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £23,000.00 per year
