Job Title:
Play Support Worker Before & After School Clubs
Reports To: General Manager
Brief Description:
To provide a safe, caring, creative play environment for children aged from 4 to 11. Ensuring the level of care is of the highest quality and aligns with our Clubs policies and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
* Planning, preparing, and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
*Providing comprehensive care for children including collecting them from their classes, overseeing and delivering them safely to their parents/carers.
*Providing snacks and refreshments whilst ensuring hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
* Administering first aid when necessary.
*Setting up play space including moving equipment and furniture.
*Consulting children and involving them in the planning of activities.
*Developing and maintaining good relationships with school, children, and parents.
*Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
*Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe, and secure working environment.
*Working within the framework of the club's policies and procedures and Early Years Foundation Stage.
* Working as part of a team, attending staff meeting and contributing to continuous improvement programmes.
Person Specification:
- Hold or working towards SVQ 2 Social Services (Child & Young People) SCQF Level 6
- National Certificate of Early Education and Children
Essential:
- Experience of working with 4 to 11 year-olds
- Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
- Understanding the issues of equal opportunities
- Good communication skills
- Provide and facilitate safe and creative play
- Sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children.
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid Trained
- Food Hygiene Certification
- Safeguarding Training
Checks:
Due to the nature of this position, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosures to be undertaken.

- Shift Options – 07:15 to 09:15 &/Or 14:30 to 18:15
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week
Salary: £9.50-£11.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Aberdeen: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
