Production Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

GEZE UK Ltd has a full time opportunity for a Production Operative within our Production Department based at Fradley Park, Lichfield.

Role Purpose:

As the Production Operative you will be responsible for the assembly of automatic slide operators, aluminium door fabrications and the build of electronic control boxes, which also includes testing and the rectification of errors. You will liaise with GEZE’s internal departments in order to ensure the efficient processing and coordination of materials, and agree time frames to achieve the successful on-time completion dates of GEZE projects.

The role includes:

• Reading and understanding cutting drawings and assembly drawings
• Reading wiring diagrams and being able to problem solve errors
• Operation of production machinery equipment
• Assembling process and functionality testing
• Quality control inspections
• Ability to prioritise tasks and execute them to achieve tight project deadlines
• Computer related activities, both testing and logging information.

Requirements:

• Ability to interpret and understand manufacturing drawings and written SOP information.
• Basic competence in use of fabrication equipment, i.e. Torque bars and settings, cutting and drilling machinery and hand held power tools etc. ·
• Have an understanding of components and wiring is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams including problem solve. · Have excellent attention to detail and be committed and enthusiastic in your work.
• Ability to work in a methodical and accurate manner with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines both as part of a team and as an individual.
• Ability to undertake manual handling duties, such as lifting completed doors and framework, sheets of glass and boxed parts up to 25kg.
