Print Rewind Operator

Gilmour & Dean, Eurostampa UK, a print company specialising in the high quality printing of labels primarily for the Spirit Bottling Industry have an opportunity within the PSL Finishing Department.

The role of the rewinder is to finish the master reel of self adhesive labels by slitting and rewinding the label, carrying out quality inspection checks and replacing any missing labels.

This is an exciting time to join a forward thinking progressive print company who will be moving to a new state of the art print facility in North Lanarkshire in spring 2024. This new site will allow the company to to increase capacity to meet market demands.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and finishing printed self-adhesive labels to the specification of the work ticket
• Setting up and operating Rewind Inspection Machine
• Inspecting and quality checking each job
• Consistently achieving company set KPI;s
• Assisting with labelling and packing of finished jobs
• Identifying and removing all non-conforming products
• Taking Responsibility for keeping a clean & organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Numeracy and literacy
• Excellent organisation of work
• Ability to work on their own initiative and collectively as part of a crew
• Cooperative and willing to learn cross-functionally
• Have a keen eye for detail ensuring a high standard of quality control
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Be reliable and possess an excellent time-keeping and attendance record

Experience is preferred, however full training will be offered to successful candidates.

This position involves working a treble shift pattern (early shift, back shift and night shift).
