Role Overview & Responsibilities

Goldstone Books – ‘Read, Recycle, Reuse’

We are an online retailer based in Llandybie, Wales with a library of over 750,000 books. We sell second-hand books via online marketplaces and in our Carmarthen bookshop. Not a single book is ever thrown away. If we are unable to find a new home for a book it is recycled responsibly back through the paper industry.

We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed part-time and full-time Production Operatives.

8 hour shifts available between the hours of 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday.

The role of a Production Operative requires you to work efficiently and effectively, as part of a team to achieve targets set by the Company.

You will need to be flexible and adaptable as you may be responsible for stock processing, including sorting, grading & scanning incoming stock, working to weekly targets whilst maintaining a high standard of work. Full training will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities

• Sorting – responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of incoming stock
• Listing – scan barcodes to list stock onto our database
• Picking/Packing – ensure orders are correctly picked, packed, and dispatched on time
• Stock Rotation – use picklists to remove old / unwanted stock from our shelves

Core Competencies

• Able to work alone and unsupervised
• Able to lift 25kg
• Basic IT skills are desirable but not required
