Role Overview & Responsibilities

Company description

We are recruiting for hard working, flexible and enthusiastic carers. In particular, we are seeking people who are interested in caring for people with Dementia and providing the utmost care according to their individual needs. We provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and will provide all necessary training.

Job description

• Experience in a previous care setting is preferential but not essential as full training will be provided should applicant be successful.
• Applicants should demonstrate patience, kindness, care and compassion towards all residents at all times.
• Working as part of a team of care assistants and nurses.
• Providing full assistance for residents who are unable to provide care for themselves. This includes washing, dressing, bathing, showering, assisting to the bathroom/toilet. Full training will be provided.
• We have full body and standing hoists as well as over head hoists and a bath hoist. Full training will be given to all successful applicants.
• Engaging with those who suffer from Dementia. Being aware of their likes and dislikes. Understanding when they are trying to tell us something they cannot communicate e.g. when they are in pain and when to recognise non-verbal communication.
• Demonstrate an understanding of individual needs e.g. SALT recommendations (training will be provided)
• Employees should be flexible, hard working, enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.
• Employees should be able to display good communication skills with relatives either in person or via telephone.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: £10.42 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff have temperature checks prior to shift start. Staff are wearing masks. Staff are tested every week, residents every month (who have not tested positive in 90 days).Daily touch point cleaning
All visitors have temperature checks prior to visits.
