Role Overview & Responsibilities

Happy Days Nursery in Swindon is seeking a Nursery Assistant (Level 2) or Unqualified to join their team, working a full time capacity.

We have over thirty years of expert experience and an ethos to support children to become strong and motivated learners for life. As Nursery Assistant (Unqualified or Level 2) you will play a vital role in helping us inspire the future for our children, by offering them the very best care and education using our unique curriculum “Where Children Shine”

Your roles and responsibilities as Nursery Assistant would include –

Performance

  • Embodying our SHINE values (Support, Honesty, Inspiration, Nurturing and Empowerment) in everything you do
  • Supporting the effective running on the nursery by being organised, and have the ability to plan and prioritise your work
  • Being positive, confident and honest
  • Having great initiative and a “can do” attitude
  • Knowing and upholding our policies, procedures and established working practices
  • Holding a recognised level 2 qualification in childcare

Outstanding Childcare

  • Being a “key person” for a group of children, ensuring that their care and development needs are being met at all times
  • Using our unique “Where Children Shine” curriculum to observe, plan and assess children’s learning opportunities
  • Understanding and implementing safeguarding, health and safety and welfare requirement policies and practices

Working with Others

  • Be a dedicated team player, and valuing the experience and skills of your colleagues
