Factory Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

OUR COMPANY:

With nearly 40 years’ experience, we are one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of HVAC products. We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable candidate for the position of factory operative.

THE ROLE:

The main purpose of this role will be to build heat exchangers by closely following layout drawings and using a variety of machinery and hand tools. No previous experience is necessary and full training will be provided.

You will report to the Production Management team and will be required to work effectively within a team environment. You will be expected to work safely at all times.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Building high quality heat exchanger units
• Following CAD layout drawings closely
• Operating machinery and hand tools (following suitable training)
• Working safely at all times
• Working effectively in a team environment
• Maintaining high levels of housekeeping at all times within factory

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within a factory environment, ideally with knowledge of working with machinery and hand tools. Previous knowledge of building heat exchangers is not essential.

The candidate will be educated to a minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) and must have an understanding of Health and Safety policy.

PAY:

Starting hourly rate is determined on previous experience, rising to a rate of over £11/hour once the candidate is fully trained. Overtime is paid at time and a half. Performance-based bonus payments are also frequently paid.
