Role Overview & Responsibilities

Role

  • Projects Logistics Co-Ordinator
  • 3-4 years’ experience

Key Duties to Include

  • Assessing clients’ needs and providing clients with accurate information
  • Identifying the most appropriate form of transit and identifying and mitigating potential risk
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation and presentation of quotations for clients, recording the information on the Company databases and following up to secure business
  • Booking shipments with hauliers, ocean lines and airlines
  • Completing AWB’s, bills of lading, customs entries and identification and preparation of all other documentation required for export and re-import
  • Liaising and updating clients, overseas agents, and suppliers as necessary
  • Supervise and monitor through transit corridor with hauliers, ocean lines, airlines and overseas partners
  • Ensuring correct customs procedures are being used
  • Passing of supplier’s invoices
  • Supervise and assist cost accruals and charging of shipments including the sending out of invoice and back up documentation to the relevant party

Hours

0900 – 1730 Monday to Friday – monitoring of shipments is sometimes required to be performed out of hours

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operational environment (multi modal would be an asset)
  • Aviation Security Training level CO Level (can be given by the Company)
  • Satisfactory CRC check and satisfactory 5 year background checks and eligibility to work in the UK
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Able to organise themselves and work independently
  • Ability to manage competing priorities
  • The candidate can communicate confidently, openly, clearly, in a timely manner and accurately.
