Marquee erector / build crew Part time casual

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Company description

We are a small boutique marquee hire company. We need occasional help with crewing small jobs - help loading marquee equipment in and out of venues, erecting marquees, putting up lighting, assembling furniture etc Crews generally consist of 4 or 5 people. The events are a mixture of small parties in private gardens and corporate/festival work.

Hours are a bit unpredictable, can be long hours back to back sometimes, and sometimes very quiet.

Job description

We are looking for self employed crew to help out erecting our small boutique marquees.

Days can be long or short, sometimes we are very busy, it's unpredictable.

We pay an hourly rate. You don't need prior experience or specific skills but it will suit somebody who's very handy at diy / construction type tasks and like a bit of outdoor work.

It's pretty easy, low stress but can be physically hard work at times - although sitting in a van for hours is pretty easy...

We are looking for keen, fit enthusiastic people who can get on well with a small group of colleagues as well as our clients.

Please don't apply if you are only interested in serving food during the event, we don't attend the events.

It would possibly work well around other part time jobs and it would be most useful if you were local to us in Streatham/Mitcham. The events are generally around London or the South East, we travel by van.

Our work is exclusively outside, wearing gloves so is relatively safe. We will wear masks when required and often have to adhere to Health and Safety rules for a given venue.
