Role Overview & Responsibilities

Hope Pastures Horse and Donkey Sanctuary are recruiting an Events and Volunteer Coordinator to design, plan and deliver fundraising events for the charity. The role involves recruiting volunteers and working with an existing volunteer team to run established site-based tasks, site-based events and external events.

The position is based at the Charity site in Leeds.

37.5 hours per week.

Salary: 22K per annum with 28 days of holiday ( bank holidays inclusive).

Reporting to the Sanctuary Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Creating an annual timeline of fundraising events and managing the delivery of each event
  • Recruiting and managing a team of volunteers to deliver events and existing tasks on site
  • Creating promotional content for marketing and social media purposes.
  • Managing relationships with existing supporters
  • Identifying and developing relationships with new sponsors
  • Budget management, reporting and evaluation of each event
  • Any other administrative duties that the events require

Personal requirements

  • Previous experience in event management and/or fundraising
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working with volunteers
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Knowledge of social media and how to target key demographics for advertisement/promotion of events
