Field Service Engineer ( Scientific)

HORIBA UK are looking to expand their scientific service team.

Do you have experience of servicing analytical systems and techniques?

Have you completed an apprenticeship in engineering ?

The main purpose of this role is the servicing and support of HORIBA UK's Scientific equipment This work will include, but not be limited, to installation and commissioning, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting / field rectification, service technical support and customer training.

Main responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance and servicing and breakdown repairs of Horiba equipment - primarily on customer sites but occasionally in the company service workshop.
• Support installation, commissioning activities, field troubleshooting and upgrade campaigns.
• Train customers in the proper operation of the equipment and routine maintenance of the equipment where required.
• Provide more detailed Service Technical Reports on specific product or customer issues. Occasionally to develop and manage field troubleshooting guides and techniques and upgrade campaigns.
• Provide telephone technical support to customers as and when practical.
• Train other service personnel in service of equipment - by a combination of “formal” written and verbal presentation at base and on the job training at customer sites.

You will be an experienced field service engineer who has the knowledge and experience of servicing scientific products. The work is mainly unsupervised therefore being highly organised and conscientious is key.
