Yard Operative/Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

At HRS Rail, we are a dedicated organisation that inspires to provide a first-class customer satisfaction in project delivery. We specialise in all aspects Rail Infrastructure Management from brickwork, specialist welding and steel work, major projects and vegetation clearance in the last 18 months, civils works in the form of tunnels, culverts and track drainage.

Summary

We are on the lookout for a talented yard operative to join our growing organisation on a full-time basis. This role will be paramount in ensuring a smooth and easy loading and unloading process for all our projects. We are continuously delivering outstanding works across the southern route covering Kent, London, Sussex, and Anglia. You’ll be joining a team where you have the freedom to showcase your skills whilst taking on a hands-on approach, making the job role your own. We are looking for an extremely organised individual who has a positive go-get it attitude and is able to bring new and innovative ideas.

The Role

• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Collecting orders of materials
• Picking and checking orders.
• Storing stock safely
• Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
• Assisting the Project delivery team
• Supporting work force with a swift and smooth transition of tools and equipment.
• All other related duties.

About You

• Previous experience working within a yard/warehouse environment.
• Highly motivated and the ability to work under tight deadlines
• Happy to work shift patterns. (Spectrum of nights and days available)
• Be a team player and happy to go the extra mile.
• Happy to work outdoors in all weathers
• Physically able to do labour intensive roles
• The confidence to take ownership and propose suitable solutions.
• Good timekeeping and attitude towards work
• Hold a full UK clean driving licence

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From £10.42 per hour
