Assistant Accountant

Due to growth in the firm we have an opportunity for an assistant accountant to join the accounts team. The team are based in our Cardiff office and deal with all financial transactions on behalf of the firm.

Reporting directly to the firm’s Accountant, the role will cover a broad spectrum of duties to include -

• Credit Control
• Accounts/Spreadsheet Analysis
• Account Reconciliations
• Assist with SAR (Solicitors Accounts Rules) and other Audits
• Assisting Fee Earners with Client Balances/Unbilled Disbursements
• Bank Reconciliations
• Month end Reporting

The ideal candidate will hold an accountancy or finance related degree or similar academic qualification to include AAT.

They will be a quick learner with good numerical, administration and communication skills.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with accounts up to trial balance and be particularly proficient with Microsoft Excel.

The ability to work to tight deadlines with periodic increases in workloads will be essential.
