The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Jobbing jeweller to join our team at Hugh Rice in Hull. As a Jobbing jeweller, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of jewellery repairs and alterations. You will be working in our in-house workshop, equipped with the latest tools and technology.

The business has 5 stores consisting of 3 Hugh Rice branded stores in Beverley, Hull & Harrogate, and 2 LUXE by Hugh Rice stores focusing on fashion led jewellery and watches in Hull & Beverley.

Job Role

The ideal candidate must have the ability to competently carry out the following services:

• Ring sizing
• Soldering
• Laser competent
• Setting work
• Re-shanking
• Re-tipping and claw work
• Polishing and rhodium plating

Essential experience and skills

• A minimum of 12 months bench experience.
• A highly driven work ethic and desire to succeed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A high level of responsibility and accountability.
