Role Overview & Responsibilities

Housekeeper for the Breast Unit and the Breast/Ent/Plastics Theatres

The post holder will support the delivery of theatre services in the centenary theatres at Castle Hill Hospital by ensuring an efficient and cost effective system of stock control, procurement, instrument management and the maintenance of a clean, safe and well maintained environment.

This post will be 30 hours per week in the theatre environment, there are 3 theatres in this building undertaking surgery for breast, plastics and ENT.

The remaining 7.5 hours will be working in the breast care unit at Castle Hill. This service undertakes daily clinics, breast screening and nurse led services. The housekeeper role here will be to ensure efficient system and stock control is maintained in a clean, safe and well maintained environment.

In both areas you will work closely with the clinical team to improve productivity and achieve the theatre and breast unit key performance indicators such as reduction in delays, cancellations, and efficiency savings.

You will be expected to organize your own workload within the constraints of defined deadlines.
