Role Overview & Responsibilities

APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR A VACANCY AS:

A PART-TIME CATERING ASSISTANT (20 HOURS)

Reporting to the Catering Manager, the main responsibilities and duties include:

· Assisting Chef’s in the preparation of food in the Landside & Airside catering facilities.

· Final preparation of pre-prepared foodstuffs

· Cleaning of kitchen areas, dining areas and food presentation counters.

· Serving customers and the taking of payment.

· Daily reconciliation of till

· Reporting of stock shortages

· Restocking of shelves

· Emptying of rubbish bins.

· Compliance with Humberside Airport policies and procedures

· Reporting of all equipment defects and procedural deficiencies according to established reporting procedures

· Any other duties of a similar responsibility level as may reasonably be prescribed from time to time.

Desirable Skills:

· Previous experience in a catering role

· Previous customer service experience

· Previous till operation & cash handling experience

· Level 1 Food Safety training qualification

The working hours are 20 hours per week and will require some flexibility.

Employment is subject to successfully clearing all background checks and medical.
