Urban designer Job in Winchester, Hampshire

Urban Designer job available in Winchester, Hampshire. If you are an Urban Designer looking to work on quality projects in a practice with an established reputation in the architectural industry then this could be the role for you.

The practice work is often featured in industry and lifestyle magazines. Their work spans across many sectors including residential from high-end private houses through to large master planning projects of 5000+ units as well as commercial and historic buildings.

Due to a major new project they have a requirement for an Urban Designer to join them to work on the master planning Projects.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take a role in the managing of projects
  • Developing masterplans
  • Preparing outline and detailed planning applications and the development of houses and mixed-use buildings
  • Managing a small team as required
  • Speaking directly with clients as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working a UK based Urban Designer or master planning role
  • Working proficiency in using ArchiCAD is beneficial, but training will be provided
  • Experience working on all residential project types, particularly large-scale developments would be preferable
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and British Standards.
