work across a range of financial instruments, operating within very different markets and countries.

Financing Solutions is one of the two key product areas within the FICE Corporate and Bank Sales area. It is responsible for cross-asset opportunities linked to the Corporate
and Investment Banking activities of our 2 Shareholders as well as self-originated transactions with our Corporate and Institutional Client Base.

Job Purpose

Assist the Financing Solutions business by assisting with all aspects of transaction
origination including preparing client presentations, transaction analyses, models and
committee papers

The role will be a Certified Person under the Senior Manager and Certified Person Regime
and will be expected to comply with the regulatory conduct rules under the regime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Financing Solutions business with presentations, models, internal committee papers, reviewing transaction documents, attending client meetings, completing client onboarding procedures and other ad hoc tasks required to originate and successfully close transactions
  • Analysis and modelling of financing deals, including equity financing transactions
  • Daily assessment of FICE market and related macro-economic data and news
  • Close interaction with and support for FICE sales executives & traders

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher education background likely to be in finance, maths, engineering, statistics, or economics
  • Commodities exposure is preferred as that is the primary focus of the platform (ideally some valuation or modelling a regulated banking / investment /
    trading environment
  • Candidates with experience in macro-economic forecasting also considered

Knowledge, technical skills and expertise:

  • High degree of proficiency in Excel (used to working with VBA, macros)
  • Good communication/presentation skills (creation of clear charts in Excel, ability to produce concise notes/reports written in good English)
  • Knowledge/experience of market-data platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc) would be helpful
  • Strong organisational skills, methodical/logical work style
  • Proficiency in 1-2 languages in addition to English as the role will involve working with clients in EM jurisdictions, especially Russia/CIS (traditionally a core client base for equity financing transactions)
