Support Worker/Carer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Support Worker with a friendly disposition, who is capable of assisting individuals with an intellectual disability. You will work with individuals in the community to assist them with their daily activities and help them interact with other people. In addition, you will educate individuals about their disability and how they can improve their skills and interactions with others.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to people who need help.
• Cope with changing circumstances.
• Communicate with co-workers and clients in an effective manner.
• Gain knowledge of the relevant legislative guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure the care worker is up to date on changes in the administration of their service.
• Summary of what it means to be a care worker.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 48 per week
