Automation Hygiene Operatives

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Automation Cleaning Operative to join our team in Derby.

The main purpose of the job is to work as part of a team or individually to carry out machine and manual cleaning of conveyor systems and other automation within a warehouse.

Working Hours: Mon - Fri 07:00 - 15:30

Pay: £12.50PH

All job offers are subject to DBS and 5 year work history check

Key responsibilities

• Working with various conveyor systems / moving parts
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Adhere to all ISM and client health and safety rules and requirements
• Wear any required personal protective equipment (PPE) or site-specific clothing as directed
• Use of a variety of cleaning equipment and products
• Sweeping and mopping floor surfaces
• Report anything in need of repair or replacement
• Keep designated cleaning areas and spaces clean and tidy at all times and store all cleaning materials safely
• Record all cleaning tasks as directed
• Working alongside a dedicated engineering team
• The use of backpack vacuums
• Working from height
• Occasional use of MEWPs

Job Requirements

• Basic machine maintenance skills, practical skills are desirable
• Good understanding of English, both written and verbal
• A strong understand and appreciation for health and safety in everything you do
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and individually
• DBS check is required and will be provided
• 5 year work history check
