What you will be doing...

Finance Apprentice (Level 4), based at Holiday House in Leeds City Centre.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Apprentice (Level 4) to join our Finance department and Work as One Team at Jet2.com. The role represents an incredible opportunity to see and experience how a large Finance team operates, whilst also providing the support and structure to obtain a professional accountancy qualification.

What will you do in the role?

Over a period of 2 years, whilst studying towards a Level 4 Accountant Apprenticeship qualification, you will gain a broad range of finance experience working in Finance Business Partnering and Reporting. You will be part of the team understanding and forecasting performance, identifying opportunities and risks and quantify the impact of business decisions on financial performance. Other responsibilities include: -
  • Collating month end data sources from various departments and preparing standard monthly reports ensuring consistency
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations. This will include resolution of associated queries and the production of journals in line with the month end timetable
  • Preparing journals

At the end of the fixed term training programme, you will have the opportunity to apply for a role within the Finance team. This could include the opportunity to complete a Level 7 Accountancy Apprenticeship and become CIMA/ACCA accredited.

What are the key skills / experience you’ll already have?
  • GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade 6/B or above
  • 104 UCAS Points (equivalent to BCC or combination around this)
  • Highly numerate with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills

You must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject
