HGV Class 2 Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Johnsons Hotel Linen by is a leading laundry and linen hire company, part of the Johnsons Service Group. Due to continued expansion, we are seeking Class 2 LGV/HGV drivers to strengthen our team and assist with the distribution of our linen from our Reading distribution facility. Shift pattern is 5 on 2 off/6 on 1 off.

The Role:

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Delivery and collection of clean and soiled linen
• Assisting with loading/unloading vehicle
• Regular communication with the Transport Manager

You may also be required to take out HGV delivery vehicles delivering clean linen and collection of soiled from our customers, duties will include : -

• Unloading of the company vehicle on your return to the depot at the end of your days' delivery round
• Collection of soiled linen lists and handing them into the service office, as required
• Recording of any delivery times/windows and securing signatures on delivery notes
• Day-to-day liaison with customers and the office
• Regular communication with the Transport Manager

The position covers a variety of shift patterns and the successful candidate will require a digital tacho card, a Class 2 driving license and be fully CPC qualified.

You must be prepared to be flexible in your approach to working hours including weekends. Start times will vary and will include weekend working.

Salary: £38,250.00 per year

• 10 hour shift

• Driving: 1 year (preferred)
