JOB OVERVIEW

At Kent College, Canterbury, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Art Technician to join our outstanding and well-equipped art department from September 2023. The Art Technician will support the department in the preparation of materials for lessons, and in the general house keeping of the Art department.

An Art Technician at Kent College will have a good knowledge of, and experience in, art. They will be organised, creative with the ability to prioritise workload. An understanding of the need for confidentiality is essential, alongside the ability to be personable yet professional in dealing with all members of the KC community.

The Senior School (11 – 18 years) has some 600 boys and girls, approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day. The school was graded as excellent in all categories in the recent inspection conducted by ISI in October 2022, the Independent Schools Inspectorate that conducts inspections on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education.

The position is 10 hours per week, term-time only (35 weeks per year).
