Role Overview & Responsibilities

This is an exciting brand new role for a new venue space. King’s Academy, are looking for a Deputy Centre Manager to support the Centre manager on the day-to-day administration and operations of the Academy, and all aspects of Academy’s functionality, optimising efficiency and overall performance, ensuring the hub achieves its long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.

This is a great opportunity for a high performing Deputy Manager or an Operations Event Manager looking for their next challenge, to develop their leadership skills and drive exciting service developments within a complex, fast-paced environment incorporating service transformation and service reconfiguration.

We would welcome applications from candidates who have strong Event management and administration skills, with experience of budgeting and a financial understanding.

As Deputy Centre Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping shape the Academy, ensuring that the environment is fit for purpose, and that all staff are engaged and committed to our shared goals.

The role will involve a high level of interaction with stakeholders, staff of all levels and learners.

Working closely with the Centre Manager, you will build strong networks with King’s College Hospital and King’s Commercial Team, including Subject Matter Experts, Clinical Trainers, Finance, ICT, Marketing and Facilities Support, and liaison with external stakeholders.

You will represent the Centre as a key administrator, with the ability to analyse, interpret and synthesise data including financial management and reporting. Excellent communications skills and experience of contributing to reports, publications and presentations are also essential.

This will be a busy and varied role requiring you to multi-task and to work to strict deadlines. You must be proactive and flexible in your approach to your duties and be able to work with minimum supervision.
