CNC Machinist

Gloucester

Salary: £40,000 - £46,000, 25 days holiday + Banks, Buy/sell annual leave, Profit sharing annual bonus, Up to 8% matched pension

Are you a skilled machinist with experience in Aerospace/Automotive/Oil & Gas or Pharmaceutical manufacturing?

Do you have a solid technical understanding?

Do you have experience with measuring equipment including CMM, Micrometres, Gauges etc?

The Role:

Your main responsibilities include:

• Carrying out different machining operations on CNC machinery
• Work in a large machine shop on various machines
• Be involved with continuous improvement to optimise work processes
• Reading and working off production drawings
• Experience using measuring equipment

The Candidate:

Essential:

• Completed a Level 3 advanced apprenticeship of NVQ in machining (Can support you to complete if you don’t have one)
• Experience on CNC machines (Setting, operating and programming)
• Ability to read technical drawings
• Milling and turning experience
• Ability to set own tools
• Understand Lean manufacturing technique
