Roles and Responsibilities
Within the Assurance team, a large amount of our work involves testing controls and providing opinions over the environment supporting a service that our assurance entities provide to their customers. This includes understanding and assessing, and evaluating IT and operations systems, processes, risks, and controls.

A successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Working with Assistant Managers, Managers and Senior Managers in delivering a variety of service assurance reports
  • Conducting fieldwork and delivering work centred around testing IT and operations controls for assurance entities.
  • Assisting with scoping, internal financial management and managing delivery risk to ensure quality
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Developing internal networks and maintaining excellent relationships with colleagues across KPMG, particularly in the wider Audit, IT Audit and Assurance practices
  • Participating and contributing towards the growth of our practice by actively identifying and progressing business development opportunities, as well as supporting sales activities such as proposal development and assisting with client presentations

Qualifications and Skills
    Excellent communication and report writing skills

Experience and Background
  • Proven experience in IT audit/technology risk and control/IT Assurance
  • An enthusiasm, drive, and passion for IT Audit/IT service assurance
  • Ability to identify and assess complex IT and operations risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly
  • Ability to develop excellent relationships both internally and with clients
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Experience in delivering work within tight timescales, to budget and to a high level of quality
  • A good understanding of technology platforms
  • Experience in core business processes within a financial services environment
  • Experience of auditing application controls for a range of business processes
  • Ability to work on own initiative
