Veterinary Stock Control Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Would you like to work in a rewarding and busy environment? Langford Vets is a large Veterinary Referral Centre, and we are currently looking for a full time Stock Control assistant in our purchasing and dispensary department within the Small Animal Hospital.

This is a varied role - you will be involved in the ordering, receiving and checking of deliveries, distribution of deliveries around the hospital and updating records/stock levels on the computer along with monthly and yearly stock takes.

You will also be required to assist in the Dispensary – both in the preparation of prescribed drugs for patients as well as the management of stock levels.

You will need to work well within a team and be able to communicate at all levels and have a great eye for detail. Experience in the Veterinary environment is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
