Kennel Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Our Kennel Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Dogs Team by caring for and walking dogs in our boarding kennels, as well as providing basic care to our resident out-of-home dogs, including feeding, walking and grooming tasks. An experienced and reliable Kennel Assistant will be a part of a team that is changing the lives of all the dogs that come through our care.

Responsibilities:

• Be a great communicator.
• Be able to work well with the public.
• Be able to follow instructions and be guided by the instructions on safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Be able to lift heavy objects.
• Be able to effectively clean up after animals.
• Be able to effectively follow the schedule of cleaning and feeding duties in accordance with kennel regulations.
• Have knowledge of pet illness, first aid, emergency response, and CPR.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm, Apprenticeship, Graduate, Internship
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 15 per week
