Care Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Larchfield Manor is a 43 bedded are home in South Harrogate. We require both full and part-time care assistants for days and nights.

The main responsibilities will be:

To assist our residents with all personal care needs

To assist residents with mobility problems and help in the use of aids and personal equipment

Help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents

Make and change beds and do light cleaning

Inspect and launder clothing

Serve meals and assist residents at meal times

Answer emergency bells, the door and the telephone and greet visitors

Read and write reports in care files and handovers

Take part in staff meetings and communications

Take part in all training as requirement to meet the requirements of the CQC standards.

The role can be full or part-time and some weekend and unsociable hours will be required to be worked.

If you have a Health and Social NVQ or willing to work towards one, are able to communicate effectively at all levels and have a genuine interest in working with the elderly vulnerable service user group, you must apply and join our team.

Salary: £10.42-£11.00 per hour
