Farm Manager

Role Overview & Responsibilities

SALARY: Dependent on experience, accommodation is available

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individual to join the friendly farm team.

The successful applicant will be one who enjoys the outdoors and isn’t afraid to turn their hand to whatever duties are required for the farm to run efficiently. They will have experience in successfully managing a farm of a similar size, or has worked as a Deputy and is keen to develop into the next step of their career.

Key Skills

· Management experience both People Management and Farm Management

Tractor driving including grassland maintenance, silage making and cultivations

· Assist with the day to day care of our sheep, native angus herd and water buffalo

· General farm maintenance, to include- fencing and grassland management

THE INDIVIDUAL:

· Good communication skills

Leadership skills

· Applicants must have a good knowledge of livestock and Machinery

· Be enthusiastic, motivated, honest, reliable and trustworthy

· Have a practical/ hands on attitude

· Take initiative as well as working well as part of team

· Be flexible with working hours

· No formal qualification are required

· All farm machinery experience

Salary: From £35,000.00 per year
