Lilian Faithfull Care pay you for every hour you work !

All breaks paid plus additional enhancements (weekends hours additional £1 per hour.

Rate of Pay: £10.72 - £11.12 * Depending on experience

Additional 40p hour when Medication trained.

Wagestream (ready access to hours earned, drawdown 50% of your earned pay before payday) All breaks are paid, plus additional enhancements for weekends.

Lilian Faithfull Care is a well-established charity based in Gloucestershire that provides care, support and a home for Life for the elderly.

We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our existing team at Bay Tree Court in Prestbury working 36 hours per week, alternative weekends , £1 hour per hour additional allowance for weekend hours.

Responsibilities of a Senior Care Assistant :

  • To work with support and lead the team in the absence of the management team within the home.
  • Promoting a safe and caring environment providing the highest standards of quality care in accordance with the Charities Policies whilst meeting the needs of our residents
  • There’s a requirement to teach and lead by example our new staff members in all aspects of their work in the home.
  • You will aid and support the management team in the monitoring supervision and training of staff in the home.
  • Making a difference to each individual’s life in everything you do.
  • Encouraging residents to maintain their independence as fully as possible
  • Assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, dressing and feeding ensuring dignity and respect for the resident at all times
  • Helping and encouraging residents to undertake these tasks for themselves as appropriate.
  • Medication trained

Requirements

  • A caring individual who is compassionate about providing care and support to elderly.
  • A genuine interest in working within a caring environment, to help people retain their dignity and respect their privacy.
  • Have a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a care setting
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Work well in a team
  • Are flexible as shifts will include weekends and evenings on a rota basis.
