Role Overview & Responsibilities

About this job

Looking for a job that is part time with the flexibility to work from home on some of the days? Have you got payroll experience and know how to use iTrent HR & Payroll systems? If so, we would welcome your interest in our vacancy.

We have a part time Payroll Officer vacancy to work 3 days per week in our small but experienced busy team. Your role would be responsible for processing and running specific payrolls for the council and our commercial customers. In April 22, we successfully implemented our new iTrent system and are keen to attract professional users of the system, who have knowledge and skills in this area. You will require knowledge of Local Government and Teachers Pensions from a payroll perspective, and able to demonstrate your knowledge of statutory payments such as statutory maternity pay/sick pay. Working in a friendly, welcoming, and supportive team you will also require the ability to utilise Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn how to use some of our internal document and transactional systems.

We offer a competitive payroll package, a positive approach to flexible working, investment in your learning and development as well as a commitment to your wellbeing. In addition to this, we offer 27 - 30 days annual leave depending on length of service, a generous local government pension scheme, wider wallet store discounts and season ticket loans.
