Loughran Brewers Select provides the best brewing ingredients to the best brewers across the United Kingdom.

Operating from our 30,000sq ft distribution facility in Peterborough , we pick , pack and ship orders of malt and hops to brewers making some of the most exciting beers in England Scotland and Wales

Due to our on going expansion we are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Warehouse Operative.

SUMMARY OF JOB:

To perform operate our ingredient packaging equipment, ensure all ingredients are packed safely, securely and efficiently for our valued customers. Addtional tasks will include, order picking, packing and wrapping and customer dispatch. The job involves the use and light maintenance of plant machinery.

The Ingredients Packaging Operative must adhere to all safety and compliance regulations and policies whilst operating within the warehouse and safeguard the safety of those around them.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing and packing ingredients for storage in the warehouse and accurately recording the location of each inventory item
• Processing and fulfilling customer orders , including picking, packing and wrapping items securely onto pallets
• Performing light maintenance on plant machinery and ensuring all areas of the warehouse are kept clean and free from safety hazards
• Updating systems and paper based records as required according to the Standard Operating Procedures
• Identifying any issues or risks and resolving them where possible and escalating as required to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Ability to complete activities thoroughly and professionally
• Storing stock items in the correct conditions for the product within prescribed time frames
• Accurately recording all inventory items within required timeframes using systems provided

HOURS: 40 hours per week

ESSENTIAL:

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate manufacturing machinery requiring physical loading and unloading of products
• Ability to operate IT systems effectively and enter data accurately and consistently

Working Knowledge:

• Experience of working in a distribution business within the warehouse operations

DESIRABLE:

Skills/Abilities:

• Forklift licence holder
• Experience of using WMS

Working Knowledge:

• Experience of working in milling operations

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £11.50 per hour

• Peterborough, PE1 5PE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
• relevant warehouse: 2 years (preferred)

Language:

• Fluent English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Forklift Licence (preferred)
