Role Overview & Responsibilities

QC Team Leader

Responsible To:

Technical Manager

Location / Area:

Stafford Park 1, Telford, Shropshire

Basic Salary + Bonus:

Competitive salary + 10% annual bonus based upon the achievement of agreed KPIs

As an integral member of the Quality Inspection Team, enable the delivery of a safe, quality product, to meet requirements and the needs of the business. The role holder will be expected to provide advice on all aspects of quality control to support the quality, efficacy and safety of all products.

To manage the daily operation and development of the Quality Control Department, planning priorities, control of non-conforming product and the effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality Inspection Team.

Principle Responsibilities:

Management of the QC Team, to ensure all their tasks and responsibilities are achieved in a timely manner, and to an appropriate standard

To hold regular meetings with the QC Team to discuss actions for the week

Ensure that all QC facilities and equipment are kept clean and tidy

Recognise and report potential problems

Maintain and approve the training records for all QC team members and ensure they are complete and kept up to date

Escalation of issues to the Technical Manager / Group Quality Manager

Maintenance of filing of all relevant records, reports and other documentation associated with QC, record any anomalies and report appropriately

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in a Quality Control role or a similar position is required

Ability to work as part of a multifunctional team and independently

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Ability to feedback problems and to seek advice when appropriate

Intermediate PC skills (MS Word, Excel etc)
