Ashfield is a great place to work valuing our employees, offering benefits including a very generous holiday entitlement, up to 35 days per year, local government pension and flexible working.

Ashfield District Council is perfectly placed in the East Midlands with great connectivity, strong services, excellent prospects for growth, and lots of ambition. This is an exciting time for Ashfield and the Legal Team. Some of our key priorities include digital transformation and the delivery of our transformational regeneration programmes including the Future High Streets Fund and Towns Fund programmes (bringing over £70m of investment to the District).

The legal team is a standalone, in-house legal team and you will play a key role at this exciting time to ensure the team is focussed on delivering the Council’s priorities.

This is an exciting role for a graduate to gain knowledge and experience in a legal setting across a diverse range of legal disciplines. In addition to providing administrative and case work support to the team you will assist with information requests, land transactions and litigation, undertake legal research and draft legal documents and court paperwork. You must have excellent written and oral communication skills.

If you would like to apply please send a CV and covering letter, demonstrating how you meet the essential criteria of the job description/personal specification to recruitment@mansfield.gov.uk

For an informal discussion about the post please contact Louise Ellis on 01623 457310.
