Role Overview & Responsibilities

We have an exciting opportunity here at Mayflower Boarding Kennels and Cattery. We are looking for an Animal Carer.

About the Role

Are you a hardworking, caring and compassionate person with kennel experience available to start right away?

We are looking for a new member to join our kennel team.

You must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a kennel and cattery environment.

We work hard to deliver the highest standards of animal care, so you must have a good understanding of the welfare requirements, along with the ability to achieve them.

As a member of the team some of your responsibilities will include:

· Providing food, water and bedding to the animals;

· Cleaning duties within the animal rooms and outside facility;

· Confidently handling the animals for various reasons;

· Recording routine data and completing daily paper work;

· Exercising the dogs and providing enrichment;

· Receiving bookings and taking payments;

· Guiding our visitors around our facilities.

We are looking for someone who has the following skills:

· Ability to work on your own and as part of a team;

· Organisation skills, along with office duties;

· Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner;

· Ability to work under pressure, maintaining high standards of output.
