Role Overview & Responsibilities

Medianett Publishing is looking for an editorial assistant to produce up to nine short stories per day across our three leading B2B titles, Bridging & Commercial, Development Finance Today, and BTL Insider. You will also provide research assistance for our bi-monthly print Bridging & Commercial Magazine and quarterly BTL Insider Magazine.

Based in central London, our ideal candidate for this role is someone who wants to cut their teeth in journalism, is hard-working, and driven by researching and writing exciting and accurate copy to tight deadlines.

You will have impeccable time management and IT skills, and be a team player.

As an editorial assistant, your job is to support every function of the editorial team. You will assist with the daily upkeep of our different sites by writing and uploading up to nine short stories (between 150-250 words) across our website. You will be responsible for setting up and scheduling our daily email news alerts and newsletters.

Working as part of a news team means every day is different, so the requirements of the editorial assistant role may vary depending on workload.

What's a must?

  • A knowledge of media law - NCTJ qualification is desirable
  • The ability to follow briefs and write high-quality news articles
  • An interest in finance, property, the economy and politics
  • Thorough knowledge and command of IT and experience using a CMS, or willingness to learn
  • A positive attitude and a team player
  • Great at managing time for multiple daily deadlines
  • An eagerness to get lots of stories published with your by-line

Hours will be 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
